Living history has always been something that I’ve enjoyed since I was a kid and this English reenactment festival seems like something I will have to visit at some point, especially since it has free admission. To find out more about this place you can go to there website Tewkesbury Medieval Festival.
More from the master. There are other good photos at http://www.illustrationartgallery.com/acatalog/Illustration_Art_Angus_McBride_291.html, for these are just a few of my choices of his work and there will be more to come.
“Angus McBride was one of the world’s most respected historical illustrators, who contributed to more than 90 Osprey titles over three decades.” To look for these titles you can check out Osprey’s sight. Since he is so influential in this genre of art the next several parts in this series will be dedicated to him.
“Johnny Shumate works as a freelance illustrator living in Nashville, Tennessee. He began his career in 1987 after graduating from Austin Peay State University.” You can find what books he has worked on for Osprey or you can find more of these same images athttp://community.imaginefx.com/fxpose/johnny_shumates_portfolio/default.aspx.
